The current and third president of Walters State Community College is Dr. Wade B. McCamey, who was appointed in 2005 to succeed longtime president, Dr. Jack E. Campbell, who served from 1974 to 2005. Dr. James W. Clark was the first president of Walters State,who served from 1970 until 1974. The Vice President for Academic Affairs is Dr. Lori C. Campbell.
