Ohio State Route 795

State Route 795 (SR 795, OH 795) is an east–west state highway in northwestern Ohio, a U.S. state. The western terminus of State Route 795 is at U.S. Route 20 in Perrysburg, at the signalized intersection that doubles as the northern terminus of State Route 199. Its eastern terminus is at a signalized intersection with State Route 51 about 0.5 miles (0.80 km) southeast of Millbury.

State Route 795, which was created in the late 1930s, serves a number of small towns in northern Wood County. From just west of its interchange with Interstate 75 near Perrysburg to just west of its interchange with Interstate 280 near Walbridge, the route is a four-lane divided highway. This four-lane section is used as an alternative to the Ohio Turnpike. In 2005 and 2006, State Route 795 was one of the main detour routes for Interstate 280 during the construction of the Maumee River Crossing. Along its path, State Route 795 passes close to Toledo Executive Airport, a small airport near Walbridge.

Famous quotes containing the words ohio, state and/or route:

This fair homestead has fallen to us, and how little have we done to improve it, how little have we cleared and hedged and ditched! We are too inclined to go hence to a “better land,” without lifting a finger, as our farmers are moving to the Ohio soil; but would it not be more heroic and faithful to till and redeem this New England soil of the world?
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

In my dreams is a country where the State is the Church and the Church the people: three in one and one in three. It is a commonwealth in which work is play and play is life: three in one and one in three. It is a temple in which the priest is the worshiper and the worshiper the worshipped: three in one and one in three. It is a godhead in which all life is human and all humanity divine: three in one and one in three.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)

no arranged terror: no forcing of image, plan,
    or thought:
no propaganda, no humbling of reality to precept:
terror pervades but is not arranged, all possibilities
of escape open: no route shut,
    Archie Randolph Ammons (b. 1926)
