Utah Air National Guard
The Utah Air National Guard (UT ANG) is the aerial militia of the U.S. State of Utah. Along with the Utah Army National Guard it is an element of the Utah National Guard.
As state militia units, the units in the Utah Air National Guard are not in the normal United States Air Force chain of command. They are under the jurisdiction of the Governor of Utah though the office of the Utah Adjutant General unless they are federalized by order of the President of the United States. The Utah Air National Guard is headquartered in Salt Lake City, and its commander is currently Major General Jefferson Burton.

Famous quotes containing the words air, national and/or guard:
“Every living language, like the perspiring bodies of living creatures, is in perpetual motion and alteration; some words go off, and become obsolete; others are taken in, and by degrees grow into common use; or the same word is inverted to a new sense or notion, which in tract of time makes an observable change in the air and features of a language, as age makes in the lines and mien of a face.”
—Richard Bentley (16621742)
“It appears to be a matter of national pride that the President is to have more mud, and blacker mud, and filthier mud in front of his door than any other man can afford.”
—Jane Grey Swisshelm (18151884)
“Although adults have a role to play in teaching social skills to children, it is often best that they play it unobtrusively. In particular, adults must guard against embarrassing unskilled children by correcting them too publicly and against labeling children as shy in ways that may lead the children to see themselves in just that way.”
—Zick Rubin (20th century)
