The PNA is not yet an internationally recognized independent sovereign state, although recognized by more than hundred countries.

Famous quotes containing the words politics, palestinian, national and/or authority:

Man made one grave mistake: in answer to vaguely reformist and humanitarian agitation he admitted women to politics and the professions. The conservatives who saw this as the undermining of our civilization and the end of the state and marriage were right after all; it is time for the demolition to begin.
    Germaine Greer (b. 1939)

I have told my husband that if he denies women equality, I will be in the vanguard of women on the streets, protesting outside his office in the new Palestinian state.
    Suha Tawil (b. 1963)

A national debt, if it is not excessive, will be to us a national blessing.
    Alexander Hamilton (1757–1804)

No man has any natural authority over his fellow men.
    Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712–1778)
