Pacific Publishing owns and operates seven community newspapers within the Seattle area, as well as its own commercial printing plant.

The Commercial Printing Division has long been an important part of Pacific Publishing Company's overall operations as a newspaper and publishing company. The Commercial Web Printing Division was first started within Murray Publishing and has been serving a variety of printing clients since 1976.

Pacific Publishing's Printing Division is considered a leading publication and commercial printing operation and is listed by both the "Puget Sound Business Journal" and "Media Inc." in the area's largest printing companies lists since 1997.

The PPC printing and operations facility is centrally located near downtown Seattle at 636 South Alaska Street, in the SODO District near "Georgetown". PPC maintains a seven-unit "cold-set" web press and a second line of five units of "cold-set" press. The facility can handle up to 48 pages in a single section Tabloid format with one spot color. In addition to web printing capabilities, PPC has in-house bindery equipment and composing facilities.

Famous quotes containing the words pacific, publishing and/or company:

The principle of majority rule is the mildest form in which the force of numbers can be exercised. It is a pacific substitute for civil war in which the opposing armies are counted and the victory is awarded to the larger before any blood is shed. Except in the sacred tests of democracy and in the incantations of the orators, we hardly take the trouble to pretend that the rule of the majority is not at bottom a rule of force.
    Walter Lippmann (1889–1974)

While you continue to grow fatter and richer publishing your nauseating confectionery, I shall become a mole, digging here, rooting there, stirring up the whole rotten mess where life is hard, raw and ugly.
    Norman Reilly Raine (1895–1971)

The Bermudas are said to have been discovered by a Spanish ship of that name which was wrecked on them.... Yet at the very first planting of them with some sixty persons, in 1612, the first governor, the same year, “built and laid the foundation of eight or nine forts.” To be ready, one would say, to entertain the first ship’s company that should be next shipwrecked on to them.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
