Ohio State Route 128

Ohio State Route 128

State Route 128 (SR 128) is a 23.50-mile (37.82 km) state route that runs between Cleves and Hamilton in the US state of Ohio. Most of the route is a rural two-lane highway and passes through both woodland and farmland. For much of its path, SR 128 runs generally parallel to the west of the Great Miami River. The highway was first signed in 1923 on the same alignment as today. The whole highway was paved by 1928. US 50 Bypass was commissioned on a section of SR 128 in 1935 and it was decommissioned in 1974.

Famous quotes containing the words ohio, state and/or route:

All inquiry into antiquity, all curiosity respecting the Pyramids, the excavated cities, Stonehenge, the Ohio Circles, Mexico, Memphis,—is the desire to do away this wild, savage, and preposterous There and Then, and introduce in its place the Here and Now.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

Once the state has been founded, there can no longer be any heroes. They come on the scene only in uncivilized conditions.
    Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770–1831)

By a route obscure and lonely,
    Haunted by ill angels only,
    Where an eidolon, named Night,
On a black throne reigns upright,
I have reached these lands but newly
    From an ultimate dim Thule—
From a wild weird clime that lieth, sublime,
    Out of space—out of time.
    Edgar Allan Poe (1809–1849)
