Student Life
Students can participate in a variety of campus activities, including intramural sports, blood drives, special lectures, and college-sponsored games. Daily chapel services are also a part of life at Maranatha.
All undergraduate students are required to live on campus until age 22, unless living with parents and commuting to classes. Dorm leadership consists of "room leaders," "resident assistants," and "dorm supervisors." Resident assistants' responsibilities include completing room checks to ensure that all beds are made, trash cans have been emptied, and halls are generally tidy. Room leaders lead room devotions and take responsibility for leadership within the room. Dorm supervisors' roles are self-explanatory.
Students may also be elected to student body office, where they participate in planning campus events, and leading special student meeting and programs. Additional leadership opportunities exist in numerous resident student organizations on campus.

Famous quotes containing the words student and/or life:
“Beauty, like all other qualities presented to human experience, is relative; and the definition of it becomes unmeaning and useless in proportion to its abstractness. To define beauty not in the most abstract, but in the most concrete terms possible, not to find a universal formula for it, but the formula which expresses most adequately this or that special manifestation of it, is the aim of the true student of aesthetics.”
—Walter Pater (18391894)
“That poor little thing was a good woman, Judge. But she just sort of let life get the upper hand. She was born here and she wanted to be buried here. I promised her on her deathbed shed have a funeral in a church with flowers. And the sun streamin through a pretty window on her coffin. And a hearse with plumes and some hacks. And a preacher to read the Bible. And folks there in church to pray for her soul.”
—Laurence Stallings (18041968)
