Men's Soccer Clubs
There are three professional leagues of soccer teams sanctioned by the Professional Division of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF or U.S. Soccer). The top level league is Major League Soccer (MLS). The second level is the North American Soccer League (NASL). The United Soccer Leagues operate several lower divisions including USL Pro, a 3rd division league; and a lower national amateur league, the USL Premier Development League. The National Premier Soccer League is another nationwide semi-professional league below the third division, as is the regional semi-professional Pacific Coast Soccer League for the Pacific Northwest of the United States and western Canada.

Famous quotes containing the words men, soccer and/or clubs:
“Criticism is a study by which men grow important and formidable at very small expense. The power of invention has been conferred by nature upon few, and the labour of learning those sciences which may, by mere labour, be obtained, is too great to be willingly endured; but every man can exert some judgment as he has upon the works of others; and he whom nature has made weak, and idleness keeps ignorant, may yet support his vanity by the name of critic.”
—Samuel Johnson (17091784)
“Our first line of defense in raising children with values is modeling good behavior ourselves. This is critical. How will our kids learn tolerance for others if our hearts are filled with hate? Learn compassion if we are indifferent? Perceive academics as important if soccer practice is a higher priority than homework?”
—Fred G. Gosman (20th century)
“The true reformer does not want time, nor money, nor coöperation, nor advice. What is time but the stuff delay is made of? And depend upon it, our virtue will not live on the interest of our money. He expects no income, but outgoes; so soon as we begin to count the cost, the cost begins. And as for advice, the information floating in the atmosphere of society is as evanescent and unserviceable to him as gossamer for clubs of Hercules.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
