Fictional Character Biography

Dexter Bennett bought the shares of the Daily Bugle from Marla Jameson when Jonah had a heart attack; he then renamed it The DB. He turned it into a gossip magazine and gave Peter Parker a job as a paparazzo. In time both Peter and Robbie Robertson left the paper because of this, Robbie quitting in disgust at the paper's new approach and Peter resigning when Bennett expressed a greater interest in Peter's photos of an actor with his secret girlfriend - Peter pointing out that, while he had willingly exposed other celebrities in questionable situations, the actor had a right to his private life in this instance as he was harming nobody- than in Peter's photos of Spider-Man's fight with new villain Paper Doll.

Famous quotes containing the words fictional, character and/or biography:

One of the proud joys of the man of letters—if that man of letters is an artist—is to feel within himself the power to immortalize at will anything he chooses to immortalize. Insignificant though he may be, he is conscious of possessing a creative divinity. God creates lives; the man of imagination creates fictional lives which may make a profound and as it were more living impression on the world’s memory.
    Edmond De Goncourt (1822–1896)

Pity the man who has a character to support—it is worse than a large family—he is silent poor indeed.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

Just how difficult it is to write biography can be reckoned by anybody who sits down and considers just how many people know the real truth about his or her love affairs.
    Rebecca West (1892–1983)
