Charles Sturt University (CSU) is an Australian multi-campus university located in New South Wales, Victoria, and the Australian Capital Territory. It has campuses at Bathurst, Canberra, Albury-Wodonga, Dubbo, Goulburn, Orange, Wagga Wagga and Burlington, Ontario (Canada). It also has specialist centres in North Parramatta, Manly (Sydney), and Broken Hill.
In 2012, Charles Sturt University set up the Port Macquarie Campus with plans to extend its range of programs. This was in response to significant research designed to retain young people in the area and contribute to the growth of the educational standards for the Hastings region.
CSU courses are also delivered in conjunction with Study Group Australia in Sydney and Melbourne (known as CSU Study Centres) and by many TAFEs (members of TAFE NSW and Holmesglen Institute of TAFE in Melbourne).
CSU is well known for its extensive range of distance education courses, which are online supported.

Famous quotes containing the word university:
“One can describe a landscape in many different words and sentences, but one would not normally cut up a picture of a landscape and rearrange it in different patterns in order to describe it in different ways. Because a photograph is not composed of discrete units strung out in a linear row of meaningful pieces, we do not understand it by looking at one element after another in a set sequence. The photograph is understood in one act of seeing; it is perceived in a gestalt.”
