Carantanians
Carantanians (Latin: Quarantani; Slovene: Karantanci; Cyrillic: Хорутані) were a Slavic people of the Early Middle Ages (Latin: Sclavi qui dicuntur Quarantani, or "Slavs called Caranthanians"). They are considered to have been one of the ancestors of modern Slovenes, particularly the Carinthian Slovenes.
