Future
New platforms for the Midland Metro are due to be built as part of its City Centre Extension to New Street Station, part-funding for which was confirmed in the October 2010 Comprehensive Spending Review. A new viaduct has been built alongside the station as part of the Snowhill development to carry the tram lines into the city centre. The project is scheduled for completion in 2015.
