Pritilata Waddedar

Pritilata Waddedar (5 May 1911 – 23 September 1932) was a Bengali anti-British revolutionary from Chittagong (in present-day Bangladesh). She was a part of the armed resistance movement led by Surya Sen, and participated in a 1932 attack on the Pahartali European Club, which bore the sign ‘Dogs and Indians not allowed’. Faced with unavoidable capture by the British authorities, she committed suicide by swallowing cyanide during the operation.
