In Ashutosh Gowariker's film Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey based on the Chittagong Uprising in 1932, newcomer Vishakha Singh debuts in the role of Preetilata Waddedar. She is the only other heroine in the film besides Deepika Padukone, who plays the revolutionary Kalpana Datta. Vega Tamotia played the role of Preetilata Waddedar in Bedabrata Pain's film Chittagong.
