New Leadership System
As of 2009, a new system of student leadership has been introduced at Bishops. All Matrics (grade 12s) are given the opportunity to run and manage one of about 20 portfolios in their respective houses. Committee meetings for each portfolio are organised during term and consist of 8 leaders (one from each house) and a teacher in charge. Leaders are appraised by themselves, staff and fellow tutees each quarter and awards are assigned to each leader as appropriate by a committee of housemasters. The system has already shown great potential and will be continued in the future.

Famous quotes containing the words leadership and/or system:
“This I do know and can say to you: Our country is in more danger now than at any time since the Declaration of Independence. We don’t dare follow the Lindberghs, Wheelers and Nyes, casting suspicion, sowing discord around the leadership of Franklin D. Roosevelt. We don’t want revolution among ourselves.”
—Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908–1973)
“You and I ... are convinced of the fact that if our Government in Washington and in a majority of the States should revert to the control of those who frankly put property ahead of human beings instead of working for human beings under a system of government which recognizes property, the nation as a whole would again be in a bad situation.”
—Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882–1945)
