XHTML Modularization - Method

Method

XHTML Modularization consists of three essential parts

  1. a technique or methodology (as explained, actually independent of XHTML, and applicable to any XML-based markup language) for defining abstract modules of a markup language, and implementing those modules in various schema languages, such as DTDs, XML Schema, and Relax NG.
  2. a collection of abstract modules
  3. a number of implementations of those modules in various schema languages.

To define a language using these modules, you only have to define a driver in one or more of the implementation schema languages, that causes the necessary modules to be loaded.

Famous quotes containing the word method:

    You that do search for every purling spring
    Which from the ribs of old Parnassus flows,
    And every flower, not sweet perhaps, which grows
    Near thereabouts into your poesy wring;
    You that do dictionary’s method bring
    Into your rhymes, running in rattling rows;
    Sir Philip Sidney (1554–1586)

    If all feeling for grace and beauty were not extinguished in the mass of mankind at the actual moment, such a method of locomotion as cycling could never have found acceptance; no man or woman with the slightest aesthetic sense could assume the ludicrous position necessary for it.
    Ouida [Marie Louise De La Ramée] (1839–1908)

    “I have usually found that there was method in his madness.”
    “Some folk might say there was madness in his method.”
    Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859–1930)
