Voltage Optimisation - Effects On Electrical Loads

Effects On Electrical Loads

A common misconception as far as Voltage Optimisation is concerned is to assume that a reduction in voltage will result in an increase in current and therefore constant power. Whilst this is true for certain fixed-power loads, most sites have a diversity of loads that will benefit to a greater or lesser extent with energy savings aggregating across a site as a whole. The benefit to typical equipment at three phase sites is discussed below.

Famous quotes containing the words effects, electrical and/or loads:

Oh that my Pow’r to Saving were confin’d:
Why am I forc’d, like Heav’n, against my mind,
To make Examples of another Kind?
Must I at length the Sword of Justice draw?
Oh curst Effects of necessary Law!
How ill my Fear they by my Mercy scan,
Beware the Fury of a Patient Man.
    John Dryden (1631–1700)

Few speeches which have produced an electrical effect on an audience can bear the colourless photography of a printed record.
Archibald Philip Primrose, 5th Earl Rosebery (1847–1929)

Shining through tears, like April suns in showers,
That labour to o’ercome the cloud that loads ‘em.
    Thomas Otway (1652–1685)
