The Violence Policy Center (VPC) is a national 501(c)(3) corporation and government lobbyist working to tighten the regulation of firearms and archery equipment in the United States, especially in relation to gun politics. Founded in 1988, the VPC approaches violence, and firearms violence in particular, as a public health issue affecting the whole population, rather than solely a criminal matter.
