History

Vestre KirkegÄrd was opened in 1870 to accommodate an urgent need for adequate burial places for the growing population of Copenhagen. Famous quotes containing the word history:

There are two great unknown forces to-day, electricity and woman, but men can reckon much better on electricity than they can on woman.
Josephine K. Henry, U.S. suffragist. As quoted in History of Woman Suffrage, vol. 4, ch. 15, by Susan B. Anthony and Ida Husted Harper (1902)

History is more or less bunk. It’s tradition. We don’t want tradition. We want to live in the present and the only history that is worth a tinker’s damn is the history we make today.
    Henry Ford (1863–1947)

    David Hume (1711–1776)
