Vestfold Hills

Vestfold Hills is an area of rounded rock coastal hills, 411 square kilometres (159 sq mi) in extent, located at the north side of Sorsdal Glacier on Ingrid Christensen Coast in Antarctica. The hills are subdivided by three west-trending peninsulas bounded by narrow fjords. Most of the hills range between 30 and 90 metres (98 and 300 ft) in height, with the highest summit reaching nearly 160 metres (520 ft).

Famous quotes containing the word hills:

The scenery of mountain towns is commonly too much crowded. A town which is built on a plain of some extent, with an open horizon, and surrounded by hills at a distance, affords the best walks and views.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
