Valor Christian High School - Alleged Recruiting and CHSAA Response

Alleged Recruiting and CHSAA Response

Under heavy speculation and open claims made by other Colorado coaches and a former star player, the Colorado High School Activities Association voted 40-20 to exclude Valor Christian football from membership in any league or conference in Colorado. The vote was highly influenced by opinions such as Mark Nolan and John Vogt, head football coaches at Regis Jesuit High School and Chaparral High School, respectively. Said Nolan, "They have a standard operating procedure. You name the sport, when the competition's over at the JV and freshman level, they hunt up the families and kids that competed well against them and say, 'Hey, are you happy where you're at?'" Vogt adds, "They're getting whoever they want. They're blatant."

Famous quotes containing the words alleged and/or response:

Most observers of the French Revolution, especially the clever and noble ones, have explained it as a life-threatening and contagious illness. They have remained standing with the symptoms and have interpreted these in manifold and contrary ways. Some have regarded it as a merely local ill. The most ingenious opponents have pressed for castration. They well noticed that this alleged illness is nothing other than the crisis of beginning puberty.
    Novalis [Friedrich Von Hardenberg] (1772–1801)

It does me good to write a letter which is not a response to a demand, a gratuitous letter, so to speak, which has accumulated in me like the waters of a reservoir.
    Henry Miller (1891–1980)
