Utah Roundmouth Snail

The Utah roundmouth snail, also known as the Utah valvata or desert valvata, scientific name Valvata utahensis, is a species of freshwater snail with a gill and an operculum, an aquatic gastropod mollusk in the family Valvatidae, the valve snails.

This species of snail is endemic to the United States. The common name refers to the State of Utah.
