Toe jam is a slang expression for the lint, residue of body oil and sweat, and dirt that accumulates between a person's toes or gets stuck to the nailbed of a toe. The term may also refer to:
- ToeJam, fictional character from the videogame ToeJam & Earl
- Toe jam, rock-climbing technique depending on "jamming" the toes between two surfaces
- "Toe Jam", song by The Brighton Port Authority
- There is also a track called Toe Jam on the Quincy Jones and Bill Cosby ‘’Original Jam Session 1969’’ album that served as soundtrack music for the original Bill Cosby Show sitcom. This track includes Joe Sample on the Rhodes electric piano, among other notable jazz musicians.
Famous quotes containing the words toe and/or jam:
“Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adders fork and blind-worms sting,
Lizards leg and owlets wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
“We fight our way through the massed and leveled collective safe taste of the Top 40, just looking for a little something we can call our own. But when we find it and jam the radio to hear it again it isnt just oursit is a link to thousands of others who are sharing it with us. As a matter of a single song this might mean very little; as culture, as a way of life, you cant beat it.”
—Greil Marcus (b. 1945)
