International Career
He made his international debut in a friendly match against Sweden on 26 March 2008. Later that year, he was called up to be part of the Brazil U-23 team for the 2008 Summer Olympics. He scored 2 goals in the second match of the groupe stage over New Zealand national under-23 football team in a 3-0 win. Brazil finished third and achieved a bronze medal.
