Famous quotes containing the words incredible, world, james and/or bond:

Nature is a setting that fits equally well a comic or a mourning piece. In good health, the air is a cordial of incredible virtue. Crossing a bare common, in snow puddles, at twilight, under a clouded sky, without having in my thoughts any occurrence of special good fortune, I have enjoyed a perfect exhilaration. I am glad to the brink of fear.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

The world perishes not from bandits and fires, but from hatred, hostility, and all these petty squabbles.
    Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (1860–1904)

The old question of whether there is design is idle. The real question is what is the world, whether or not it have a designer—and that can be revealed only by the study of all nature’s particulars.
    —William James (1842–1910)

It may comfort you to know that if your child reaches the age of eleven or twelve and you have a good bond or relationship, no matter how dramatic adolescence becomes, you children will probably turn out all right and want some form of connection to you in adulthood.
    Charlotte Davis Kasl (20th century)
