Famous quotes containing the words frank, sinatra and/or show:

    They robbed the Danville train.
And the people they did say, for many miles away,
‘Twas the outlaws Frank and Jesse James.
    Unknown. Jesse James (l. 6–8)

And now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain,
I’ll state my case of which I’m certain.
    I’ve lived a life that’s full, I traveled each and ev’ry highway,
And more, much more than this. I did it my way.
    —Frank Sinatra (b. 1915)

Let this be one invariable rule of your conduct—never to show the least symptom of resentment, which you cannot, to a certain degree, gratify; but always to smile, where you cannot strike.
Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl Chesterfield (1694–1773)
