Fun Play Games ("open" Bowling)

While league bowling and tournaments are very important in the bowling world, there is also another side to the game which goes out of the rules. There is nothing like the fun of having brothers,

    if there is no loss.
Punjabi proverb, trans. by Gurinder Singh Mann.

I hold the world but as the world, Gratiano,
A stage, where every man must play a part,
    And mine a sad one.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

In 1600 the specialization of games and pastimes did not extend beyond infancy; after the age of three or four it decreased and disappeared. From then on the child played the same games as the adult, either with other children or with adults. . . . Conversely, adults used to play games which today only children play.
    Philippe Ariés (20th century)
