Target Center has faced competition for concert tours since 2000, when the Xcel Energy Center opened in nearby Saint Paul. Taylor Swift performed there on October 11th, 2009 for her Fearless Tour. Maroon 5 performed on October 28th, 2010. Justin Bieber performed on October 20th, 2012 for his Believe tour.
