Famous quotes containing the words young, theatre and/or school:

    All of you young people who served in the war. You are a lost generation.... You have no respect for anything. You drink yourselves to death.
    Gertrude Stein (1874–1946)

    The poem of the mind in the act of finding
    What will suffice. It has not always had
    To find: the scene was set; it repeated what
    Was in the script.
    Then the theatre was changed
    To something else. Its past was a souvenir.
    Wallace Stevens (1879–1955)

    Mary had a little lamb,
    Its fleece was white as snow,
    And every where that Mary went
    The lamb was sure to go;
    He followed her to school one day—
    That was against the rule,
    It made the children laugh and play,
    To see a lamb at school.
    Sarah Josepha Buell Hale (1788–1879)
