Human Health
Human beings have long sought sugars, but aside from wild honey, have not had access to the large quantities that characterize the modern diet. Studies have indicated potential links between processed sugar consumption (otherwise referred to as free sugars) and health hazards, including obesity and tooth decay and is relevant to other chemical forms of sugar, not just sucrose. It is also considered as a source of endogenous glycation processes.

Famous quotes containing the words human and/or health:
“The human heart concerns us more than the poring into microscopes, and is larger than can be measured by the pompous figures of the astronomer.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“No one ever promised me it would be easy and its not. But I also get many rewards from seeing my children grow, make strong decisions for themselves, and set out on their own as independent, strong, likeable human beings. And I like who I am becoming, too. Having teenagers has made me more human, more flexible, more humble, more questioningand, finally its given me a better sense of humor!”
