Studentenverbindung

A Studentenverbindung (comparable to fraternities in the US or Canada) is the umbrella term that includes the Burschenschaften, Landsmannschaften, Turnerschaften, Sängerschaften, Corps, Catholic Corporations, Wingolf and Ferialverbindungen; also often just Verbindung. It is a student corporation in a German-speaking country.
