The site today is occupied by Stratford International station and a shopping centre called Westfield Stratford City. A commemorative plaque was unveiled on the site during June 2012 featuring a 30A shedplate and Stratford cockney sparrow in its design and acknowledging the history of the site.

Famous quotes containing the words site and/or today:
“That is a pathetic inquiry among travelers and geographers after the site of ancient Troy. It is not near where they think it is. When a thing is decayed and gone, how indistinct must be the place it occupied!”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“The biggest disease today is not leprosy or tuberculosis, but rather the feeling of being unwanted.”
—Mother Teresa (b. 1910)
