Themed Areas
There are presently nine separately themed areas within the park – each zone featuring its own distinct rides, attractions, and food service venues.
Area | Description |
---|---|
Six Flags Plaza | Start of the 20th century portal that guests utilize to enter and exit the park. Features gift shops, food service venues, photo services, and guest relations. |
Baja Ridge | South of the border flair can be found in this barren desert landscape where three roller coasters await guests. |
Cyclone Bay | Guests can partake in a myriad of rides and midway games. |
DC Universe | The rides and attractions in this area are inspired by the DC comics universe. |
Samurai Summit | Japanese folklore and mythology come to life in the form of three roller coasters atop this rugged hillside. Superman: Escape from Krypton does not fit with the theming because it is themed to a DC Comics superhero instead of themed to a Japanese folklore. |
Rapids Camp Crossing | This area simulates a campsite set deep in the American wilderness. |
Colossus County Fair | Carnival-style games test skills of every kind while three gargantuan roller coasters of three different natures beckon thrill seekers. Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom does not fit with the theming because it is themed to a DC Comics villain instead of themed to a carnival-style game. |
High Sierra Territory | In the shadows of towering redwoods amongst a setting not unlike California's great national parks, guests can explore attractions suitable for all ages.
The Looney Tunes characters have taken up residence in this outpost filled with rides designed specifically for children.
Guests can embark on a train ride through a scenic landscape aboard the passenger coach of a tank engine. Also a has a train themed roller coaster for kids. Known in the past as "Thomas Town" (2008–2010) |
The Movie District | Movie-inspired, guests can plunge 50' off a waterfall, catch a live-action stunt show, climb a staggering rock wall, or fulfill their need for speed on two roller coasters. |
