History and Growth
ShowClix was co-founded in 2007 by Joshua Dziabiak and Lynsie Campbell, two Pittsburgh-based entrepreneurs with experience in marketing, promotions and the entertainment business.
Dziabiak sold his first company, a web design firm called MediaCatch, when he was 18 years old. He met future business partner Campbell while working together at Spreadshirt, an online platform for creating and selling personalized apparel. The pair originally built ShowClix as an event registration database, but revamped the site as a web-based ticketing solution after hearing the concerns of promoters and venues in regards to the ticketing industry's standard model of high service fees and complicated proprietary software.
ShowClix has evolved into an international event ticketing agent, with ticketing partnerships across North America, Canada and Australia. In 2010, the company experienced its greatest period of growth with a 650% increase in ticket sales and a 275% increase in new clients.

Famous quotes containing the words history and/or growth:
“When the landscape buckles and jerks around, when a dust column of debris rises from the collapse of a block of buildings on bodies that could have been your own, when the staves of history fall awry and the barrel of time bursts apart, some turn to prayer, some to poetry: words in the memory, a stained book carried close to the body, the notebook scribbled by handa center of gravity.”
—Adrienne Rich (b. 1929)
“All growth is a leap in the dark, a spontaneous unpremeditated act without benefit of experience.”
—Henry Miller (18911980)
