- 1 tph to Braintree, calling at Ingatestone, Chelmsford, Hatfield Peverel, Witham, White Notley, Cressing and Braintree Freeport. Normally operated by a British Rail Class 321, although sometimes replaced by a British Rail Class 360 or British Rail Class 315
- 1 tph to Clacton, calling at Chelmsford, Witham, Colchester (North), Wivenhoe and Thorpe-le-Soken. Normally operated by a British Rail Class 360, although sometimes replaced by a British Rail Class 321 or British Rail Class 315
- 1 tph to Colchester Town, calling at Chelmsford, Witham, Kelvedon, Marks Tey and Colchester. Normally operated by a Class 360, Class 321, or occasionally a Class 315.
- 1 train every two hours to Ipswich, calling at Chelmsford, Hatfield Peverel, Witham, Kelvedon, Marks Tey, Colchester (North) and Manningtree Operated by a Class 360 or a Class 321, though occasionally replaced by a Class 315.
On Sundays this is reduced to:
- 6 tph to London, of which:
- 2 call at Stratford (to set down) only
- 2 call at Brentwood, Harold Wood, Gidea Park, Romford and Stratford (to set down) only
- 2 call at all stations as per the third layout above
- 2 tph to Southend Victoria, calling at all stations except Prittlewell (which is closed on Sundays)
