Sena Kobayakawa

Sena Kobayakawa (小早川 瀬那, Kobayakawa Sena?) is a fictional character and the protagonist in the manga and anime series Eyeshield 21 created by Riichiro Inagaki. In the series, he is a first-year Japanese high school student who willingly becomes a gofer for other people to avoid being bullied more. Being a gofer his running ability was incresead, and it is noticed by Yoichi Hiruma, the American football team's captain, who obligates him to join the Deimon Devil Bats as team's running back under the pseudonym "Eyeshield 21". Sena has appeared in other media from the series, including video games, original video animations (OVAs) and light novels.

When creating Eyeshield 21, Inagaki intended to create a "wimp" boy who can be a good sportsman as the protagonist, then he created the Sena's character. In a 2004 anime OVA, that preceded the anime series, he is voiced by Romi Park, but she was replaced by Miyu Irino for the 2005 Japanese anime television series. In the English adaptation he is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal. Sena has been well received by publications for manga and anime. Merchandise has been modeled after Sena, including action figures, cosplay pieces, and resin and ceramic statues
