Sangguniang Panlalawigan

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (English: Provincial Council), commonly known as the Provincial Board, is the name given to the legislatures of each of the provinces in the Philippines. They pass ordinances and resolutions for the effective administration of the province. Their powers and responsibilities are defined by the Local Government Code of 1991.
