"Smoke On The Water"
When the Giants moved from Candlestick Park (also known as 3Com Park and Monster Park) to Pac Bell Park (now AT&T Park), the Giants used the song "Smoke on the Water", by Deep Purple, as Nen's entrance music. Though not chosen by Nen, the song was selected to highlight his throwing speed. The 9th inning, when Nen entered a game, became known as the "Nenth" inning.

Famous quotes containing the words smoke and/or water:
“Whether there be any such moral principles, wherein all men do agree, I appeal to any, who have been but moderately conversant in the history of mankind, and looked abroad beyond the smoke of their own chimneys. Where is that practical truth, that is universally received without doubt or question, as it must be, if innate?”
—John Locke (16321704)
“This sand seemed to us the connecting link between land and water. It was a kind of water on which you could walk, and you could see the ripple-marks on its surface, produced by the winds, precisely like those at the bottom of a brook or lake. We had read that Mussulmans are permitted by the Koran to perform their ablutions in sand when they cannot get water, a necessary indulgence in Arabia, and we now understand the propriety of this provision.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
