Death
Widmark died after a long illness on March 24, 2008, at his home in Roxbury, Connecticut at age 93. Widmark's illness had been aggravated by a fall he'd suffered during the previous year. At the 2009 Academy Awards, Richard Widmark was honored in the Memorial Tribute.
