Poynter Institute - The Kelly McBride Incident

The Kelly McBride Incident

In March 2013 Poynter Institute had national exposure when their representative Kelly McBride, in a televised panel discussion on Josh Zepp’s program on HuffPost Live, was largely wordy and incoherent, but managed to seem to defend the behaviors of the convicted felons in the Steubenville High School rape case.

Other than publishing a column by McBride that inexplicably condemns the public outcry against CNN’s insensitivity in reporting on the rape case, Poynter Institute has made no comment explaining McBride’s comments on the HuffPost Live program.
