Personal Life
At university, she was involved in a lengthy relationship with a civil engineer. That relationship broke up when she took up a career in TV. She dated Ian Kelsey from Emmerdale for a time and is now married to wildlife cameraman and producer Charlie Hamilton James. The couple live in the West Country and have three sons. The arrival of the first, Fred, in 2000, is described in her book The River. All three have appeared in the couple's television programmes.
