Designations of Terrorism
The United States and European Union have designated the Abu Nidal Organisation, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Palestine Liberation Front, the PFLP and PFLP-GC as terrorist organisations. A United States Congress decision from 1987 also described the PLO as a terrorist organization
The military wing of Hamas is also recognized as a terrorist organization by Israel, Canada, Germany, Japan, Jordan, the United Kingdom and Australia.
In the event that the Palestinian Authority is accepted into the International Criminal Court (ICC), it will enable the PA to become liable to lawsuits. In anticipation, the civil rights NGO Shurat HaDin Law Center, is collecting thousands of testimonies from Israeli victims of Palestinian terror attacks to present at the ICC.
