Ohio State Route 357
State Route 357 (SR 357, OH 357) is a 2.35-mile (3.78 km) north–south state highway in the northern portion of U.S. state of Ohio. Existing entirely on South Bass Island in Lake Erie, the highway runs from its southern terminus at West Shore Boulevard near the car ferry to Catawba Island nearly 0.75 miles (1.21 km) west of Put-in-Bay to its northern terminus at Geiss Drive approximately 1.50 miles (2.41 km) east of Put-in-Bay.
SR 357 is one of two state highways on the Ohio islands of Lake Erie, along with SR 575 on Kelleys Island. Though this two-lane route runs predominantly east–west, it once extended to the mainland of Ohio via the Catawba Island ferry, which is why it carries a north–south routing.

Famous quotes containing the words ohio, state and/or route:
“Heaven is not one of your fertile Ohio bottoms, you may depend on it.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“On the whole our armed services have been doing pretty well in the way of keeping us defended, but I hope our State Department will remember that it is really the department of achieving peace ...”
—Eleanor Roosevelt (18841962)
“A route differs from a road not only because it is solely intended for vehicles, but also because it is merely a line that connects one point with another. A route has no meaning in itself; its meaning derives entirely from the two points that it connects. A road is a tribute to space. Every stretch of road has meaning in itself and invites us to stop. A route is the triumphant devaluation of space, which thanks to it has been reduced to a mere obstacle to human movement and a waste of time.”
—Milan Kundera (b. 1929)
