Oh, Brother! - Sequel Series

Sequel Series

Oh, Brother! was followed by a sequel Oh, Father! in 1973, also starring Nimmo and with the same writers. In this series, Dominic left the monastery and became a Roman Catholic priest. It had a supporting cast of Laurence Naismith, Pearl Hackney and David Kelly. This was not a success and only lasted a single series of seven episodes.

Famous quotes containing the words sequel and/or series:

Though the Jazz Age continued it became less and less an affair of youth. The sequel was like a children’s party taken over by the elders.
    F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896–1940)

The woman’s world ... is shown as a series of limited spaces, with the woman struggling to get free of them. The struggle is what the film is about; what is struggled against is the limited space itself. Consequently, to make its point, the film has to deny itself and suggest it was the struggle that was wrong, not the space.
    Jeanine Basinger (b. 1936)
