North Ballarat Rebels

The North Ballarat Rebels are an Australian rules football club which play in the TAC Cup, an under-18 competition in Victoria, Australia.

North Ballarat is one of four regional clubs set up as part of a plan by the AFL to have clubs set in all regions of the state.

This was to help aid in player development and the process of the AFL draft, which allows U18 players the opportunity to be selected by AFL clubs.

North Ballarat have drafted many notable AFL players including Adam Goodes, Drew Petrie, Troy Chaplin, Jed Adcock, Tim Notting, Shannon Watt, James Walker and Shane O'Bree.

Famous quotes containing the words north and/or rebels:

I felt that he, a prisoner in the midst of his enemies and under the sentence of death, if consulted as to his next step or resource, could answer more wisely than all his countrymen beside. He best understood his position; he contemplated it most calmly. Comparatively, all other men, North and South, were beside themselves.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

“Poor Esther!” said he gloomily. “She has been brought up among men, and is not used to harness. If things go wrong she will rebel, and a woman who rebels is lost.”
    Henry Brooks Adams (1838–1918)
