Nicholas Robert Diaz (born August 2, 1983) is an American mixed martial artist currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is a former Strikeforce, WEC, and IFC Welterweight Champion. He has also competed in Pride Fighting Championships and Elite Xtreme Combat. Diaz is currently ranked as the #4 welterweight in the world by Sherdog. Nick is the only fighter to ever fight for the EliteXC, IFC, WEC,Pride, Strikeforce, and UFC Championships. He holds notable wins over Chris Lytle, Jeremy Jackson(2x), Robbie Lawler, Drew Fickett, Josh Neer, Gleison Tibau, Katsuya Inoue, Thomas Denny, Frank Shamrock, Scott Smith, Marius Zaromskis, Hayato Sakurai, KJ Noons, Evangelista Santos, Paul Daley, and B.J. Penn. His win over Lawler still stands as Lawler's only knockout loss of his career.
