Murder of Anna Svidersky - Death

Death

David Barton Sullivan, who had previously been convicted twice of sex crimes, left his home on the day of the murder with the intention of "hurting a female", and according to police, did not know Anna Svidersky. He entered the Andresen Road McDonald's at around 8 pm and stabbed her with a kitchen knife.

Sullivan was captured soon after the attack. He had discarded the knife he used, but was still covered in blood when discovered. He was charged with first-degree murder, but on June 26, 2007, he was acquitted by reason of insanity and was committed indefinitely to a mental hospital.

Famous quotes containing the word death:

The raven is my talisman.... Death is my talisman, Mr. Chapman. The one indestructible force. The one certain thing in an uncertain universe. Death.
David Boehm, and Louis Friedlander. Dr. Richard Vollin (Bela Lugosi)

I mourn the safe and motherly old middle-class queen, who held the nation warm under the fold of her big, hideous Scotch-plaid shawl and whose duration had been so extraordinarily convenient and beneficent. I felt her death much more than I should have expected; she was a sustaining symbol—and the wild waters are upon us now.
    Henry James (1843–1916)

For God was as large as a sunlamp and laughed his heat at us and therefore we did not cringe at the death hole.
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)
