Mighty Taco is a Mexican-style fast-food restaurant chain in the Buffalo, New York area. All Mighty Taco restaurants are owned and operated by Mighty Taco Inc., a privately owned corporation.
The first Mighty Taco opened at 1247 Hertel Avenue in Buffalo, NY on August 31, 1973. There were four original owners: Dan Scepkowski, Andy Gerovac, Ken Koczur and Bruce Robertson. Dan Scepkowski is the current owner of the company having bought out the other founders. Today, Mighty Taco Inc. operates 18 restaurants in the Buffalo area and 1 restaurant in the Rochester area.
As of July 2006, Mighty Taco has made significant changes to their slogan, food wrappers, bags, beef, cheeses, refried beans, and tortilla chips. The fall of 2007 also brought more changes in some of the brands Mighty Taco used to carry. It no longer serves Aunt Rosie’s Loganberry, replacing it with locally produced Johnnie Ryan loganberry made with cane sugar, or brand name bottled water.

Famous quotes containing the word mighty:
“It is a mighty error to suppose that none but violent and strong passions, such as love and ambition, are able to vanquish the rest. Even idleness, as feeble and languishing as it is, sometimes reigns over them; it usurps the throne and sits paramount over all the designs and actions of our lives, and imperceptibly wastes and destroys all our passions and all our virtues.”
—François, Duc De La Rochefoucauld (16131680)
