Souvenir Currency
As of 2002, Vevčani, a village in the south-western region of Macedonia and self-styled "independent Republic", was issuing its own money, the Ličnici, as a souvenir. The money is clearly labelled as "specimen" and was never intended to be used as official, legal currency.

A shadow fleeting; she is never plain.
She is a visitor who leaves behind
The gift of grief, the souvenir of pain.”
