Pupils
LHS is an all-girls School, educating those from the ages of 11 to 18, however there are some joint lessons in the sixth form with the all-boys LGS. In the past it was (like the present Grammar School) also a boarding school, however in recent years all female boarding has gradually ceased.

Famous quotes containing the word pupils:
“Master and Doctor are my titles;
For ten years now, without repose,
Ive held my erudite recitals
And led my pupils by the nose.”
—Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (17491832)
“Close to the academy in this town they have erected a sort of gallows for the pupils to practice on. I thought that they might as well hang at once all who need to go through such exercises in so new a country, where there is nothing to hinder their living an outdoor life. Better omit Blair, and take the air.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“If a teacher have any opinion which he wishes to conceal, his pupils will become as fully indoctrinated into that as into any which he publishes.”
